Have 90 Minutes to Kill? Watch "The Trashmaster", a Film Made With GTA IV

Nope, your eyes don’t deceive you: French filmmaker Mathieu Weschler just released a feature length film called “The Trashmaster”, created solely via the Grand Theft Auto IV PC engine. Taking two years to make, the polish on this film is seriously impressive, with some cinematography that I didn’t think was ever possible in any machinima movie.

That said though, the acting and dialogue is just atrocious, and the movie isn’t too interesting beyond the initial awe of seeing someone make an entire movie out of a videogame. Still, it feels like a monumental achievement nonetheless, and props have to go to Weschler for creating such a legitimately polished achievement. Hit the jump for the movie.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
