Kate soon learns that her mother, Eleanor, is getting married to Jack Duquesne. Of course, Kate knows nothing about Jack, so she doesn't feel good about her mother marrying the guy. On top of that, she sees both Armand and Jack competing at an illegal auction event for things recovered from the Avengers compound. In the same event, Kate sees the legendary Ronin suit out for bidding. Surprisingly, the auction was interrupted by the Tracksuit Mafia, who were looking for a specific item. To escape the situation, Kate wears the Ronin suit, and Jack uses the opportunity to grab Ronin's sword.

Finally, after saving a dog from a thug, Kate breaks into Armand's apartment, where she finds him dead. While fleeing from the apartment, Kate gets surrounded by the members of Tracksuit Mafia, who think that Kate is Ronin because of the suit she's wearing. Fortunately, before things could get worse, Clint beats the gang and saves Kate.

However, things only get tricky for Kate because Tracksuit Mafia learns Kate's identity and her address. And after getting attacked by the gang members, both Clint and Kate escape leaving the Ronin suit behind. Interestingly, one of the firefighters finds the suit in Kate's apartment and wears it to the Live Action Role Playing event. Now, on one side, we have Clint recovering the suit by attending the LARPing thing and on another side, Kate trying to learn more about Jack at dinner.

Kate challenges Jack to a swordfight, and she asks him not to hold back and reveal what he truly is. After getting frustrated, Kate tries to stab Jack in the face, and shockingly, Jack proves that he is an incredible swordsman by defeating his opponent.

Meanwhile, Clint lets Tracksuit Mafia capture him, and the gang takes him to their hideout. The gang members ask Clint about Kate, and Hawkeye denies even knowing about the girl.
