HBO’s The Last of Us Actor Given a PS5 to Help With Research on His Role
The Last of Us TV show actor Gabriel Luna receives a PS5 from Neil Druckmann to aid his research into the role of Tommy.
If you haven’t yet got your hands on a PS5 yet, the idea of getting one as a gift would certainly make your entire year. Maybe we all just need to make better friends like Gabriel Luna has as he sets into playing the role of Tommy in the upcoming HBO show, The Last of Us.
If you follow the ins and outs of HBO’s next endeavour into the video game world, you probably already know that the mastermind behind The Last of Us franchise Neil Druckmann and Chernobyl writer Craig Mazin will be putting both of their brains together to bring the post-apocalyptic game to our tv screens.
Of course, getting prepared for the role of any of its intense characters will be the challenging part and there’s nothing better than getting stuck into the video game franchise itself to really get your bearings. Thankfully, Druckmann has a simple solution for Gabriel Luna as he takes on the persona of Tommy for the series and that’s gifting him a PS5 so he can actually play TLOU and TLOU2 for research purposes, of course.
Luna took to Instagram to share the exciting news as he sat beside his brand new PS5, stating “A huge THANK YOU to @Playstation and the mastermind @druckmann for gifting me the necessary equipment to further my research. I’m going to replay 1 and 2 in the mode where if you get whacked you have to go back to the start”
Luna comments that he plans to reply The Last of Us and also Part 2, but especially grounded mode where there are no second chances. Maybe this could be a slight hint at how harsh and crazy HBO’s The Last of Us will truly be. Whatever the outcome, we can’t wait to watch it when it hopefully airs next year.
