This past weekend, 16 of the world’s best Hearthstone players competed in Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles for the 2018 HCT Summer Championship. After everything was all said and done, German player Raphael “BunnyHoppor” Peltzer came out victorious garnering the title.

In the final matchup against A83650, BunnyHoppor managed to pull off a reverse sweep in a 3-1 series. Winning the tournament not only gave him the title of the 2018 HCT Summer Championship but also a $60,000 cash prize, as well as a spot at this year’s HCT World Championship.

In fact, the rest of the top four players from the tournament — which include A83650, killinallday, and Viper — will be joining him at the main event. A83650 will receive $40,000 for getting in second place while killinallday and Viper will get $20,000.

Although the rest of the competition will not be going to the HCT World Championship, all of them will receive cash prizes depending on how they placed. Those in 5th through 8th get $12,500 and those in 9th through 16th get $7,500.

Anyone who couldn’t secure a spot at the HCT World Championship during this series may have another chance at the Fall Playoffs later this year.
