Get your tissues at the ready as we look at some beautiful yet sad The Last of Us Part 2 fanart of an adult Sarah in Jackson alongside Joel.

It goes without saying that after playing The Last of Us Part 2, many of us actually felt like we needed some serious therapy. Cloaked in a black veil of anger, redemption and sadness, Part 2 certainly came with a hefty price on our souls.

And even though there were very few light moments in the dense and heartbreaking Naughty Dog title, you can always rely on fans to bring a bit of sun to the harsh shadows that linger over the TLOU2. That's not to say we still won't shed a tear because, after all, it's The Last of Us 2.

In a stunning fanart piece, we take a look at what Sarah, from the original Last of Us, would look like as an adult and by Joel's side in Jackson.

Although we don't get to see a lot of Sarah, Joel's daughter in The Last of Us, her tragic last moments have always left a huge hole with those who've played it. A young life cut so short when shot by the military as she and Joel fleed the town, brought heartache to fans everywhere - especially so in those heartbreaking seconds as she passes away in Joel's arms.

To bring a little light through the cracks, one fan has recreated Sarah in what they think she would look like alive and well living with Joel in Jackson.

Instagram user @fjorgust brings familiarity to Sarah whilst also promoting her adulthood as she gazes lovingly at her father, Joel. The artwork also acts as a thought piece, allowing the viewer to imagine what life would be like if her life wasn't cut so short and, in turn, how events would actually play out and if he would have risked so much for Ellie if he hadn't have lost Sarah.
