Another BlizzCon, another Hearthstone reveal. This time around, the addictive card-based title will be getting a brand new story titled Kobolds & Catacombs which will be releasing December 2017.

According to the description posted on the Hearthstone blog, loot comes across as the main theme to Kobolds & Catacombs. In that respect, Blizzard is doling out a free Legendary weapon -- like the one seen below -- that will bring with it very weak attacks, with the tradeoff of magnificent abilities:

Of course, it wouldn't be Hearthstone without a healthy amount of RNG. And the new version of RNG for Kobolds & Catacombs are "Unidentified" items. These items will swap to one of the underlying items when drawn -- and besides the "Unidentified Elixer" below, you can expect two more on the way:

Last but not least is upgradeable spells, which reflect typical distinctions of quality in standard RPGs. By overloading these spells (using extra Mana), you can upgrade the spells to have greater effects:
