After that jaw-dropping gameplay trailer from Hellblade 2 at The Game Awards 2021, we hadn't seen anything new from the game until a few hours earlier!

Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga is one of the biggest ongoing projects at Xbox Game Studios. Ninja Theory truly wants to show off the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5 and Xbox Series X with this anticipated sequel, and the first gameplay footage from the game was mind-blowing.

Of course, we still need more information and more footage from Hellblade 2 to understand how it plays and looks, but thus far, it has been one of the best-looking projects for the next-gen consoles and PC.

Hopefully, Ninja Theory surprised fans today with a work-in-progress screenshot from Hellblade 2. This is something that you wouldn't want to miss!

New Screenshot from Hellblade 2 Shows Off the Capabilities of Unreal Engine 5

Shared in celebration of Earth Day, Ninja Theory posted a work-in-progress screenshot from Hellblade 2 that shows the Djúpalónssandur beach in Iceland over one thousand years earlier. The location has been depicted in the game and is probably the same beach that we spotted in the gameplay footage.

The screenshot looks absolutely amazing. Unreal Engine 5 seems to be a real beast, and this screenshot is just a small portion of this engine's capabilities. Unfortunately, Ninja Theory didn't mention whether the screenshot is an in-game or in-engine capture. But anyway, it is so beautiful. This location has been depicted using Photogrammetry technology.

Hellblade 2 Senua's Saga doesn't have a release window, but we do know that it will only be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S. If we are lucky enough, we might be able to see something new from this gigantic project this Summer.
