The popular stealth horror game Hello Neighbor has become something of a streaming phenomenon due to its wild gameplay and self-learning AI. You play as a character trying to sneak into your neighbor's house and figure out what's happening in his basement. The mixture of sandbox stealth gameplay and advanced AI makes for an experience that is begging you to replay it over-and-over again. During today's Xbox Games Showcase, the team at tinyBuild revealed that a sequel is in the works. Give Hello Neighbor 2 a look below.

Hello Neighbor 2's big addition is a new open-world area for you to explore. The town of Raven Brooks is fully open for the jump. However, there's a "mysterious creature" looking for you as you try to find Mr. Peterson, your neighbor from the first game. He's gone missing and you want to discover why.

It certainly seems like the logical next step for the game. Taking that sandbox gameplay and learning AI out of a house and into an entire town should feel like a big jump. The only worry, of course, is the game's technical performance. The first game struggled with bugs and technical problems. Can they address that in the sequel, while also giving players a bigger world? Only time will tell.

Hello Neighbor 2 is set to launch on PC in 2021. No word yet on consoles, but it could happen. If you want, you can hop into the Alpha right now and give the new world a try. It's available on Steam right now, so get over there and get to sneaking.
