Pokemon is one of the most popular video game series out there. Google Maps is one of the most widely used apps. Combine the two and you get a little title called Here be Monsters which is now available for the iPad.

In the game, players will get to travel the world as part of an organization called the Ministry of Monsters. Their quest is to find and capture over 100 monsters from myths and legends. During their travels, gamers will learn about the different cultures of the places they visit and use local resources to build traps and baits. The traps and baits are region specific and you must use them to capture the monsters.

Players will get a homestead which will act as their base of operations. Here, they can farm resources and optimize their crafting production lines. This is also the place where they can store souvenirs from their travels.

New quests will be developed episodically and new content will be released each month. The first season takes place in London and Europe and will move to Nanjing for season two. Another four seasons based on other regions and continents will follow.

You can download Here be Monsters for free on the Apple App Store.
