During an event in Tokyo, livetsreamed on Nico Nico, Atlus showcased a bit of gameplay from the beginning of Persona 5.

While the video was filmed from the screen of a demo station, we can see how you can insert the name of the hero. After having been arrested, he’s prompted to write down his name.
