Many were expecting a response from Sony, but one could hardly think it would be Bungie, of all the developers. Rumors were afloat regarding EA, Ubisoft, Take-Two, and whatnot, but nobody mentioned Bungie. Now, fans are curious about the future of Bungie games.

Well, the good news is that Bungie has clarified nothing of that sort is going to happen. Bungie has assured fans in a blog post that Destiny remains to be a cross-platform experience and the acquisition will have no impact on the game whatsoever. In fact, it urges fans to play the upcoming Witch Queen DLC on a platform of their choice. Moreover, there will not be any platform exclusive stuff in the Witch Queen DLC as well, which is something fans would be delighted to hear. It further adds that the deal will not be affecting the experience on non-PlayStation platforms.

Commenting further about the future plans of Destiny, it adds that it still has the creative freedom for developing Destiny. That means all the previously announced plans are still intact, starting with the Light and Dark Sage to the Final Shape which will be coming in 2024.
