Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been in the works by Warhorse Studios since early 2012. The game received little interest from publishers and was only successfully funded after a Kickstarter campaign provided £1,106,371, a sum that would eventually grow as crowdfunding moved to the studio's site afterwards.

In the Gamescom footage below, the first person RPG showcases polearm weapons and hand-to-hand combat, as well as classic medieval swordplay. However, the footage also shows us stealth mechanics which are showcased for the first time.

While there are no UI elements to indicate how the mechanic works, it seems to be inspired from games such as Elder Scrolls: Skyrim or Thief. While in stealth mode, you are able to steal, choke enemies and stab them, if you like.

The game is currently scheduled for release in 2017.
