Today, Université Laval won the 2018 Heroes of the Dorm National Championship.

Laval is the first Canadian college to win the Heroes of the Dorm tournament, each bringing the championship back to their school, as well as covering their tuition. They also swept the competition, not losing a single game in each of their series against the University of Kentucky and in the Grand Finals against the underdog, University at Buffalo.

After accomplishing such a feat, Team Captain Jérome "Earth" Levesque said, "For years, it was only a US team [as national champions], not even one Candian team in the top four, and we just won Dorm, not only the top four. It was an amazing Heroes of the Dorm. It was an incredible, special thing [that was] well done."

Throughout the entirety of the tournament, Université Laval was a favorite to win as the number two seed. It definitely showed in their play as they stuck with the pro Heroes of the Storm meta rather than some of the crazier compositions like the Cho'gall appearance from Cal Poly.
