The next patch for Blizzard’s MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, is now up in the Public Test Realm allowing you to play as the latest hero addition Deckard Cain from now until April 23.
As seen in the action RPG franchise Diablo, Deckard is a support class with high utility and survivability. He doesn’t do much damage so he is at his best when partnered with another hero. In fact, his hero trait, Fortitude of the Faithful, allows him to gain 10 armor and increase his basic abilities’ recharge by 50% when he is near an ally.
His primary abilities are Healing Potion, Horadric Cube, and Scroll of Sealing which makes him a great hero to use if you need some crowd control in team fights, as well as a decent healer.
Lastly, Deckard has two different heroic abilities. The first, Stay Awhile and Listen, will put anyone within his reach to sleep for 3 seconds while channeling and 2 seconds after. The second, Lorenado, is a tornado that will knock enemies away if they if they run into it.
Additionally, the patch will introduce some character balances, UI improvements, bug fixes, and more. You can check out the full patch notes on Blizzard’s website.
