Recently Hideo Baba sat down to do an interview about Tales of Xillia 2 which is releasing this summer in western territories, and Tales of Zestiria, a new title that will be releasing sometime next year.

When asked about whether or not Tales of Xillia 2 will ever get the original Japanese voice dub as DLC for the western release, he had this to say:

Tales of Xillia 2 does not offer the original Japanese voice acting in the West. Is there a possible DLC containing Japanese voice overs?

We have no plans to offer the Japanese voice yet in Europe in the form of DLC. However, Tales of Hearts R will have the original dubbing and we will do our utmost to ensure that this is also the case for the next Tales of.

Additionally, when asked about the possibility of a Tales of fighting game, Hideo had this to say:

The Tales series contains many characters, have you considered a fighting game involving a large number of different characters?

There are already a lot of fighting games and I do have not yet thought about that. But the idea has strong interest. Better yet, why don't Tales characters show up as guest characters in games like Tekken for example

Tales and Tekken are both published by Bandai Namco Games, and this wouldn't be the first time a studio under Bandai Namco crossed together two gaming franchises. Could we possibly see a Tales of character in a future Tekken title? Only time will tell.
