The Last Guardian has finally been released in most of the world, and Creative Director Fumito Ueda received the congratulations of a special colleague, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, who took to Twitter to show his brand new copy of the game and send his congratulations to Ueda-san

Incidentally, Kojima-san wasn't the only one to congratulate Ueda-san across the newly formed Decima Engine axis. Guerrilla Games Managing Director Helmen Hulst also joined, citing the work of the Japanese developer as a source of inspiration.

For a journey that ends, one begins, as Kojima-san also tweeted an uplifting message, using a space travel metaphor to signal that the engines are on and the count-down has commenced for his own game, Death Stranding.

With much awaited games finally coming to fruition, and intriguing projects starting, I honestly don't remember a period in which I've been happier to be a gamer.

In case you missed it, you, you can enjoy Death Stranding's brand new trailer, and in a few in-engine images.
