It is a known fact that games in Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid franchise can be differentiated by the length of cutscenes and hours of the story. However, Mr. Kojima has stated that he will be taking a different approach with Metal Gear Solid V.

During an AMA on Twitch, Mr. Kojima iterated that when developing Metal Gear Solid V, he utilized as few cutscenes as possible. The story is meant to be driven by the player's actions in the open environment, in addition to packets of information spread throughout the environment.

Those worrying about a two-hour long finale cutscene can breath a bit easier.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be released next week for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360.
