Elden Ring (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) is celebrating its over 12 million copies sold worldwide with special messages from Hidetaka Miyazaki and the FromSoftware staff.

Elden Ring is the latest game by FromSoftware, and it's in the same vein as all of the studio's past productions. The open-world aspect is much more clear-cut though, which definitely contributed to raking in newcomers, resulting in these high sales: 12 million Elden Ring copies shipped worldwide, with 1 million copies shipped inside Japan.

Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, Elden Ring was highly awaited for many years and delivered on all fronts. Elden Ring and Souls games aren't good because they're hard, they're good because they're built the right way. The game is everything Soulslike fans wished for but bigger, with the usual characteristics of the series: fascinating dungeons, amazing bosses, intricate game design, mysterious quests, tragic NPCs, and hazardous camera work.
