After a couple of years of laying low, it seems like one Activision developer is finally making a return to the spotlight. In a press release earlier today, Activision revealed that High Moon Studios would be assisting Infinity Ward on the development of their upcoming game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The announcement wasn't exactly made with a bunch of fanfare, as it was just briefly mentioned at the end of a press release from Activision about the reveal of Modern Warfare's multiplayer. If it wasn't for the keen eyes of the people over at CharlieINTEL, it may have gone over most people's heads.

The last Call of Duty game High Moon Studios helped develop was Modern Warfare Remastered back in 2016, which was co-developed alongside Raven Software. After that, the studio has been helping Bungie with Destiny 2 post-launch content and keeping a relatively low profile.

This news comes after an entire day of extensive coverage for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. DualShockers got a chance to head out to Los Angeles to try the game just a few days ago and you can read about that experience by clicking here. We also learned earlier today that the framerate on the PC version of the game would be completely uncapped.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to be released on October 25, 2019, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. If you pre-order the game at certain retailers, players will receive a Classic Captain Price skin for use in Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.
