Once you start taking bounties in High On Life, you'll unlock travel to Zephyr Paradise. The opening locale is named Deep Jungle, a dense land filled with 34 Luglox chests.

These chests can be tricky. There is no map, and strangely, the other areas in Zephyr tend to overlap with Deep Jungle, so a Luglox you think is part of Deep Jungle may actually be connected to Upper Valley or Jungle Clearing. But, with just some pictures and further explanation on the tricky ones, you will walk away from this land with all 34 chests unlocked.

The Chests Just Sitting In The Open

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 1

There's no elegant way to describe how the majority of the Luglox chests in Deep Jungle are placed. As stated above, there isn't a map to pinpoint the full locations, which alone may sound worrying as being a vibrant purple jungle leads to a lot of the area looking exactly the same. With a wide majority of the chests being placed on the ground or a cliff side, this may sound daunting for treasure hunters even with pictures to follow, but at the end of it all, it's not as scary as this sounds.

All Luglox chests show up on your radar as long as you are close enough to one — they are blue lines — and the only other item that shows up on your radar like that are warp crystals. What this means is that you will likely just naturally come across these chests as you walk around Deep Jungle during the story quests, like when you're tracking down Krubis or The Skrendel Brothers. If you missed anyway, just come back when you have the jetpack and the mag-boots, so you can fly and run around.

Another thing to mention is that for whatever reason, all three locations in Zephyr Paradise overlap a bit. For example, the Moplet Village is in Deep Jungle, but all the areas just around it are considered part of Upper Valley. If you aren't sure which location you're really in, just use your scan feature, and it will show you how many Luglox chests you've earned for the location in the upper right and will also tell you how many are in that location. If it says 34, you're in Deep Jungle. Upper Valley has 32, and Jungle Clearing has 28. It's safest to just open any chest you see, as the portal door in your home will also keep track of your Luglox chests.

To get the best use out of the pictures provided, when you reach an area that your radar claims to have a Luglox, note your surroundings and see if any picture has a similar look to it.

This brings the count to 24, as the final 10 chests are either tucked away through a hidden path or require a Gatlians' unique ability.

The Chests Off The Beaten Path

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 2 - Behind a plant player has to shoot

The chest in the above image is hidden just behind this alien plant. Just shoot the green bulb with any gun you'd like, and the leaf will hide away, so you can grab the Luglox just behind it.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 10 - Inside the warren

You'll run through this warren your first time in the area, and the only thing that makes this chest sneaky is how the radar may confuse you. The path is a bit twisty, but also, the radar may pick up another chest. It's on the second level but registered as an Upper Valley Luglox. You won't be able to reach that one without the jetpack anyway, so worry about that on a return trip and just focus on this one as it's part of Deep Jungle anyway. The return trip likely won't add too much time to your total play count anyway.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 17 - Creature access port

If you came across this shiny floor previously and wondered how to grab the Luglox, the answer was that you need to have unlocked Creature. His ability allows you to open yellow access ports.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 25 - Cave under magboot wall

In a later bounty quest, you will come across a ravine that ends with a bunch of fans Sweezy will have to slow down with her ability. Instead of that path, look to the left and down to see a mag-boot section, which will lead into a hidden cave and a Luglox.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 30 - Gus blade wall

Another ultimately simple one, this one requires you to use Gus's disc ability to shoot at the red climbable wall. You can also cheese this with the jetpack if getting it on a return trip.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 31 - center of a fairy ring

Despite being in deep space, there is a fairy ring located on Zephyr. Shoot one of Kenny's goo shots into the center of the fairy ring to make the rest of the Luglox chest pop up.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 33 - wall of leaves

The green bulb to deactivate the leaf wall is on the other side. Aim a shot between the hole in the center.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 11 - upside down under goo launch pad

When you reach an area called Upper Falls, you are immediately near another Luglox. To further the story, you are supposed to launch yourself on the catapult with a goo shot. However, shot a goo shoot on the right catapult, and you'll find a Luglox hidden on the underside. You can also go under the catapults and open the Luglox while it's upside down, if you'd like.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Magboot wall that brings you to the secret area

While in Upper Falls, on the left is a tether spot you can slide across with Knifey. You're supposed to use Kenny's goo shot to move the platforms blocking you. After you do that, ride it back the other way to notice a mag-boot section and climb up it to find a secret area.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 32 - mushrooms in secret area

You'll find a little spot with some G3 enemies spawning in, and some more Luglox chests.

High On Life Deep Jungle Luglox Chest Number 34 - secret area waterfall

You can open them during the fight, or wait until you've cleared the room.
