A few days ago, Hironobu Sakaguchi's Mistwalker corporation revealed Terra Battle 2, sequel to the studio's popular mobile JRPG Terra Battle.

Today, they released a new version of the original announcement trailer, with the theme song "High Sky" performed live by singer Akiko Kono.

The song is composed by legendary Final Fantasy maestro Nobuo Uematsu, with music performed by his band Earthbound Papas.

The game will be part of a newly-named “Terra World” franchise, which also includes the first Terra Battle and Terra Wars. A console game was also promised a while ago, but no specific information about that has been released as of late.

It will feature similar gameplay to the original Terra Battle, but with a world map replacing linear progression, enabling players to explore and set formations before each battle.

Terra Battle 2 will release in 2017 both in japan and in the west for PC, iOS and Android.
