IO Interactive has always done a great job injecting holiday festivities into their modern Hitman series. The first game brought Home Alone-inspired hijinks to the game for a month and the sequel has continued to provide excellent Christmas-themed murder. This December, the team is back with several new events to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Check out the latest video roadmap below.

Prior to the holiday season starting, the Hitman 2 team is putting out two new escalations on December 5. They're also throwing in a legacy elusive target the next day. On December 12, IO will kick off "12 Days of Contracts". This is the culmination of a community initiative that took place on the Hitman forums. Basically, the community has curated 12 holiday-themed different contracts and they will drop them each day during the event. They didn't precisely detail what's happening in these new contracts but promised more news would be coming soon.

Alongside the community event, Hitman 2 is getting two legacy missions. The first is Holiday Hoarders where you can unlock the Santa suit. The second is the Snow Festival in Hokkaido. Both are now becoming permanent additions to the game, so you can jump in and murder Harry and Marv to your heart's content. IO finishes off the month with a few more escalations and a new elusive target, but the holiday content is, as expected, the meat of the content.

Hitman 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. As a reminder, the holiday event kicks off December 12 and runs for 12 days, while the legacy content is now a permanent part of the Hitman 2 experience.
