IO Interactive has confirmed that it will be showing off some exclusive Hitman 3 gameplay later today. No information regarding what the gameplay will show specifically has been confirmed, but if the featured image is anything to go by, it looks like it could potentially be set in a previously announced location.

The featured image for the video shows Agent 47 holding a sniper rifle, backlit by large neon signs that bear similarities to the new location "Chongqing" that was announced in November of this year. If I was to speculate on what we'll see, I'd say we'll see a walkthrough around some parts of the location, eventually leading up to a sniper-focused assassination.

The gameplay video will go live at 3PM CET and will be available to watch on YouTube. Above, you'll find the trailer for the new location that I believe the upcoming gameplay video will be set in. It'll be streaming with 4K resolution available and will introduce us to some gameplay from the upcoming 2021 release.

Hitman 3 is slated to launch in January 2021, and it's been said to be the end of a journey for the game's iconic protagonist. Fans of the previous 2 games can also expect to see a range of familiar and popular game modes. Additionally, IO Interactive has confirmed that it is working on a new game titled Project 007 which will be focused on the James Bond universe, so it'll be interesting to see if the gameplay style of Hitman carries over.

It's due to be launching on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Stadia and Nintendo Switch. It's worth noting that the Switch version will be Cloud-based. Those on PS4 and Xbox One will also be offered upgrades to the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S providing they're digital copies, and on PC the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for the first year.
