As promised before, IO Interactive revealed the next location of Hitman 3 in a brand new trailer, while showing off some of the visual enhancements of the game in the next-gen consoles and high-end PCs.

Set to launch sometime in January 2021, Hitman 3 will be the last entry in The World of Assassination series that originally started in 2016 with some significant changes compared to the previous iterations of Hitman. One of the iconic features of this trilogy is its contract-based missions that each time send you to a totally different location to take down one or more targets.

When it comes to Hitman 3, we already knew that the first mission will take place in Dubai, while the second one will send Agent 47 to a mansion in Britain's Dartmoor. Now the latest trailer of the game reveals the location for the third contract of 47 in the game, which will take place in Chongqing, China.

The Chongqing map reminds me of Hitman 2016's Morroco mission and Hitman 2's India contract, where you have to go through narrow streets and compact but crowded alleys. However, the Chongqing mission will take place at night, and it doesn't seem as crowded as the two maps mentioned above. The new location seems to have a haunting atmosphere that has been intensified thanks to rainy weather.

The lighting and reflections look super realistic on the new map. Thanks to the HDR and 4K resolution support, playing Hitman 3 on 9th-gen consoles will be a totally different experience compared to PS4 and Xbox One, especially if you take that 60 FPS animations into account.

The next entry of the Hitman series will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC. It's worth noting that the PC version of the game will remain exclusive to Epic Games Store for one year.
