IO Interactive has published the Hitman 3 winter roadmap with two months of new content for the stealth-action game, promising elusive targets, festive-themed unlocks, seasonal events, and the much-awaited freelancer mode that allows players to customize their safe house and enjoy rogue-like elements.
Starting with holiday hoarders and two unlocks from December 1st, players can now obtain the lil' flashy gift, an endearing and useful toy robot that can be used in plotting assassinations. Players can also find a gift box while lurking around Paris, the mission area decked out with lightning gimmicks and snow cannons. This gift box includes something explosive, which IO Interactive recommends players leave on the ground. Those playing holiday hoarders for the first time can unlock the Santa-47 suit at no extra cost. It will be available between December 1 and January 5 for free starter pack players.
Players can also unlock the Shashka A33 gold assault rifle by completing the elusive target arcade contracts, which arrive on December 8th. There will also be batches of curated contracts with fun challenges, and the first up is Urben's holiday special which has players competing in new competitions. Perhaps most excitingly, the winter roadmap includes the new icon mission, in which players will look for a new assassination target, Dino Bosco, to end his career for a good reason. The icon was included in the summer bonus missions in Hitman 3 earlier this year, and will be returning with new challenges on December 22.
Another assassination target to be eliminated by Agent 47 is The Bad Boy, a former musician-tuned gangster hiding from the police. The second mission included in the winter roadmap will be available on December 30. Furthermore, players can unlock the ICA 19 Iceballer gun by completing the ice to meet you challenge at the Hokkaido Snow Festival, starting on January 5 and ending on January 26. The snow festival suit will also be available for those playing the event for the first time. Lastly, Agent 47 will be tasked with eliminating another elusive target, The Forger, who will be in Paris between January 6 and 16.
Hitman 3 Year 2's latest addition will be the freelancer mode, allowing players to enjoy the game with a different nature. The freelancer mode in Hitman 3 allows players to create their freelancer Agent 47 without having to stick to the campaign.
