Hitman Absolution Announced, and the World Rejoices

I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. IO Interactive and Square-Enix today have announced Hitman: Absolution, the followup to the highly celebrated Hitman: Blood Money. Fans of the series have been waiting for this official announcement for a long time, as we’ve known a new game in the series has been in the works for awhile. Absolution will follow Agent 47 through a personal journey as he has been betrayed by everyone he used to trust and with the police on his tail, he’ll take on his most dangerous mission yet.

The game is currently scheduled for a 2012 release and will be showcased at E3 by invitation only, so keep an eye out for more announcements around that time. A teaser trailer has been released which is available after the break.

John is what you might call something of a badass. When he's not writing about games or playing them, he's playing in the Kansas City band "Documentary" and drinking as many different beers as often as he can. He's a huge comic nerd in the best sense of the term, with a particular love for the Creator Owned movement.
