The Pan European Game Information has rated two older Hitman games for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: Hitman: Absolution and Hitman: Blood Money.

Both games have not previously been released on either console though you can play Absolution and Blood Money via backwards compatibility on Xbox One.

Absolution released in 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and was the last Hitman game before the recent episodic reboot from 2016. Blood Money is a fan-favorite that released in 2006 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. HD versions of Hitman 2:  Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money were released shortly after Absolution, and it looks like a remaster for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are in the works for Blood Money and Absolution.

While no official announcement has yet been made, the publisher attached to the ratings matches the current publisher working with IO Interactive on Hitman 2: Warner Brothers Entertainment. Hitman 2 continues the reboot but drops the episodic content rollout and will be releasing very soon on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon.

A live action launch trailer for Hitman 2 features Sean Bean doing what he does best, dying, and IO Interactive has also shown off all the locations in the game and revealed details for a 1 v 1 competitive Ghost mode that has two assassin players competing to be the first to eliminate five targets on the map.
