Great news, alien killing fans! Tired of waiting for Halo Infinite? Not even sure what Halo Infinite is? Fret not-- Hive Jump, the weapon-packed, 2D platformer is coming to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on January 11th.

Previously released for the Wii U, Linux, PC, and Mac, Hive Jump presents itself as the kitchen sink of indie games. Created by developer Graphite Lab, the game offers upgradeable weapons, bullet-hell-esque sequences, and a series of sprawling caverns that would make any Metroidvania fan blush. Additionally, the game's main character dons a transponder backpack, which, if destroyed will permanently kill you. Part Metroidvania, part bullet-hell, and part roguelike, the game's garden variety of mechanics seem to offer any modern indie fan something to enjoy.

Adding another layer on top of these mechanics is the game's multiplayer. Allowing cooperative play of up to four players, the game's multiplayer looks to make the (typically solitary) task of exploring caverns a bit more social.
