Today Sega announced that the upcoming Yakuza-meets-Fist of the North Star adventure game Hokuto Ga Gotoku will be delayed by a couple weeks.

The game was supposed to release in Japan on February 22nd, but the launch date has now been moved to March 8th. The reason is the usual, to "improve quality" and better satisfy the fans.

A new version of the latest extended trailer reflecting the new date was also released, and you can watch it at the bottom of the post.

Hokuto Ga Gotoku basically takes the First of the North Star IP and mashes it on top of the Yakuza gameplay structure, also assigning well-known voice actors from the series to characters from the anime and manga. It's probably the most appropriate marriage between two completely different IPs that I've seen in a long while.

If you want to see more you can also take a look at a recent TV commercial, at the beautiful cover art designed by Tetsuo Hara himselfand enjoy some recent screenshots, an epic trailer showing many of the game’s features in action, and some gameplay from Tokyo Game Show.

Of course, no western release has been announced just yet, even if Sega recently teased that 2018 will be a "great year" for the Yakuza series.
