Today Sega presented more gameplay of its upcoming action game Hokuto Ga Gotoku, which mixes the Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) setting and characters with the familiar Yakuza flavor and gameplay.
First of all, we get to see the arena, in which gladiatorial fights are regularly held among Eden’s prisoners. Afterwards, we move into the wasteland, where Kenshiro can try out a new sport, which is “batting” thugs charging at him on motorbikes with giant steel beams. That’s basically Hokuto Ga Gotoku‘s quirky way of bringing back Yakuza‘s batting center within the Fist of the North Star setting.
Sat what you want about the folks at Sega, but one thing is for sure: they have a wild imagination.
You can watch it below. If you want to try the game for yourself, you can enjoy the recently released demo available on the Japanese PlayStation Store. If you want to see more you can also watch two recent trailers showing off Eden and the wasteland.
Speaking of Yakuza and demos, one for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life has been released today on the North American and European PlayStation Stores, so we get twice as much fun.
