If you are anything like me, you've been holding your breath for an official release date of the Nintendo Switch version of Hollow Knight. And in a shocking reveal, Reggie Fils-Aime announced that the game would be available on the Switch today.

Hollow Knight was first showcased at a 2017 Nindies direct, which came as a welcome surprise given it is well-regarded as one of the best platformers to grace the indie scene. However, we were given a fair warning that the game will likely take 6 to 12 months to release on the Switch. Earlier this year developers Team Cherry couldn't promise a set launch date, supposedly because they were trying to hit 60 fps. However, we now know they were being coy about the surprise.

Thankfully, all current DLC will be packed in for free with the Nintendo Switch version.

Please note, this isn't the only "Available Now" announcement of this conference. Similarly, we just saw that Fortnite would be on Nintendo Switch following the Nintendo E3 Direct.

As mentioned above, Team Cherry's Hollow Knight will be available today on Nintendo Switch packed in with all of the previous DLC. The game is currently available on PC's, if you wanted to dip into the awesome artstyle. Meanwhile, you can check out the reveal trailer below:
