Fans have been eagerly waiting for any Hollow Knight: Silksong announcement. However, it looks like we won't be getting any news regarding the game on E3 2021.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is the much-awaited sequel of 2017's Hollow Knight. Team Cherry announced the Metroidvania action-adventure title for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Nintendo Switch in 2019.

Ever since the game's announcement, players are eager to hear anything official on its release date. However, as E3 2021 is fast approaching, there's nothing but bad news for the Hollow Knight fans.

Matthew Griffen, a member of Team Cherry, announced that we wouldn't be getting any Hollow Knight: Silksong on E3 2021. He said, "Sorry everyone, but there sadly won't be anything at E3 this year."

Team Cherry gave this bad news to players on Discord. Then, the news broke out within the Hollow Knight community on Reddit.

Several fans were hoping for a big announcement on E3 2021 through another trailer. So, of course, no Hollow Knight: Silksong news on the event is a big disappointment for many fans. However, some members of the community have also come forward to appreciate Team Cherry's Honesty.

Last year, we got a pretty good example of what happens when developers release a game under pressure. Video game developers deserve all the time they need to deliver a game that lives up to players' expectations, and that's what many fans understand.

For instance, the original Reddit user who posted the screenshot said, "I know it sucks not getting news, but just gotta have faith in TC that the game will be good."

On the other hand, several fans didn't shy away from showing their disappointment in the comments. Reddit user Bokoger said, "It went from a tease years ago to basically no communication at all in forever. Is that a strategy I'm not sound enough to grasp?"
