Hololive Members React to Their Doctor Strange Crossover on Stream

HoloStrange got another stream with La+, Korone and other guests

May 3, 2022

Hololive is holding a special crossover event with Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, and this May 3rd, a special stream was held with Inugami Korome, Shirakami Fubuki, Oozora Subaru, and several other Hololive VTubers, all sharing their thoughts and love for the MCU.

Who are the Virtual YouTubers Promoting Doctor Strange?

MCU fans unfamiliar with Virtual YouTubers, this one is for you. Hololive is a Japanese Virtual YouTuber agency with dozens of talents regularly streaming content, with millions of followers on YouTube. Most of them also sing and do karaoke besides streaming games like Apex and Minecraft.

Hololive is one of the biggest influencing forces in media right now, and also has English and Indonesian VTubers. Japanese game studios and anime regularly use Hololive VTubers as ambassadors for promotion, and Disney realized they’re huge too, so they now asked them to promote the new Doctor Strange movie.

HoloStrange Collab Stream Highlights

The official Hololive channel streamed a one-hour-long talk show with several talents. The first part focused on the Fubuki Korone Subaru trio chatting about the movie. The stream had several more highlights, and after sharing some banter, they commented on the Marvel Cinematic Universe reel parody that Hololive did, and the collab as a whole. We also got a glimpse of the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness collab café in Japan. La+ was one of the prominent VTubers on stream after the main trio, so be sure to check it out. We listed the biggest highlights below.

Stream Time Stamps

  • 13.27 – The trio reacts to the reel
  • 15.18 – Introducing the collab cafe
  • 26.50 – Takane Lui, Subaru and Fubuki on why they like the MCU, most notably Fubuki fangirling about Loki and Lui about Doctor Strange’s actor Cumberbatch
  • 41.50 La+ Darknesss and Sakamata Chloe commenting Chloe’s interview of the Japanese voice actors

The MCU pulling out a collab with Hololive definitely was not something I’d expected to see happen just two years ago. Shows how big VTubers are now. What are your thoughts on it all? Let me know in the comments!

Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness will be out on May 6, 2022.
