Guerrilla Games shared a new tweet just a few hours earlier, confirming that the development process for Horizon 2 Forbidden West has finished. This is the biggest news of today for PlayStation fans as a great adventure awaits them up ahead in a much bigger world.

According to the development team at Guerrilla Games, Horizon 2 Forbidden West will provide several hundred hours of content for gamers, including the main campaign and all side quests.

The team recently revealed during an interview that the story of Forbidden West will follow Aloy's journey after the events of Zero Dawn while putting so much pressure on her from the threats up ahead.

Horizon 2 Forbidden West Has Gone Gold

Once a game goes gold, the overall development process is finished and the team focuses on further polishing the game until launch.

Regarding how long it takes to completely finish Horizon 2, the review codes could already be out, and the reviewers might receive one or two updates during the playthrough until the official launch.

While PlayStation 5 is supposed to be the home platform of Horizon 2 Forbidden West, the game will be available on PS4 as well. Earlier today, Sony shared a new look at the gameplay of Forbidden West on PS4 Pro, which still looks breathtaking.

Horizon 2 Forbidden West will be available on February 18 for PS4 and PS5. Although there is no plan at the moment to launch the game on PC, we could expect it to be available on Steam a few years later.
