Now, we are gearing up towards the launch of the highly anticipated sequel, and yesterday, the preview embargo of the game was finally lifted. So far, critics have heaped praises on the game, and it seems like it could surpass even its predecessor.

Horizon Forbidden West Will Take Several Hundred Hours To Complete

We have had a fair share of debate in the past few weeks when it comes to game completion times. Recently, Dying Light 2 developers, Techland, tweeted out that it would take 500 hours to complete. Twitter went totally wild after the announcement, with many criticizing the game for putting in content just for the sake of it. However, it was eventually clarified that the game is merely 20 hours in length, and 500 hours would be for hardcore completionists.

As Joe Miller mentions in a tweet, Mathijs de Jonge, the Game Director of Horizon Forbidden West has mentioned that it will take several hundred hours to complete the game. Do note that just like the insane 500-hour number of Dying Light 2, this also includes all the main and side quests.

When it comes to the main story of the game, it is noted that Horizon Forbidden West is as big as its predecessor Horizon Zero Dawn. This means that players can expect to finish the main story in around 20 hours. This is quite a standard for single-player titles out there, so no surprises here.
