Horizon Zero Dawn fans will be delighted to know that Aloy and the machines will be attending San Diego Comic-Con in just a few short days. Instead of gracing our video game screens, Aloy will be showcased in a graphic novel where the new series will take place after the events of the game as Talanah, a strong and determined hunter, struggles to find purpose after her trusted friend Aloy disappears. When a mysterious threat emerges in the wilds, she sets out to hunt and to defeat it, only to learn that a whole new breed of killer machines stalk the land. To celebrate the launch of the comic on August 5, 2020, Horizon Zero Dawn Comic will be attending San Diego Comic-Con's home panel this Thursday, July 23.

The creative team behind this hotly-anticipated comic book launch that includes writer Anne Toole, artist Ann Maulina, Guerrilla narrative director Ben McCaw, principal artist Gilbert Sanders, and Guerrilla studio director/art director Jan-Bart van Beek will all be talking about how they brought this beloved video game that many gamers hold dear to their hearts to the illustrated medium world of comics. Also, to commemorate this occasion, Titan Comics is delighted to be revealing a never-before-seen issue #1 cover by Peach Momoko that you can check out below.

You can pre-order this exclusive San Diego Comic-Con Peach Momoko cover if you live in the US, Canada, and the rest of the world right here and if you live in the UK and Europe, you can grab your copy here. Last month, we got a sneak peek into the upcoming comic book series that included some artwork teasers from the first comic. Horizon Zero Dawn is set to launch on PC on August 7 and recently, some gameplay footage has been released showcasing the beautiful world where Aloy and the machines co-exist. If you’re a lover of a good board game,  Steamforged Games has launched the Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, it has been put on hold for now but hopefully, everything will be up and running as soon as possible because, I for one, would love to get my hands on it.

Horizon Zero Dawn #1 is set to debut at comic book retailers worldwide and digital devices on August 5, 2020, for $3.99. You can pre-order now from your local comic shopForbidden Planet, and ComiXology. A lead-in story will be available for free on 22nd July from your local comic book store.
