Today, Sony and Guerrilla Games released a new video for Horizon: Zero Dawn that shows how the studio created the game's living, and vibrant world.

The video specifically provides insight into how the developer approached creating the game's vast, living sandbox environment, as well as talks about the game's various environments, the day/night cycle, and the dynamic weather system.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, the following is written about the game's ecology:

Aside from how the player interacts with the world of Horizon Zero Dawn, it’s the natural feel of the machine’s ecology which really impressed. Herds of Grazers roamed, following their own instincts; startle them, and they’ll bolt or stampede, fleeing from danger – just as you’d expect to see on a nature documentary. The overall feel was one of a living, breathing world that has evolved in harmony with the machines – with humans being only a distant memory.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is set to release on February 8, 2017 in North America, March 1st in Europe, and March 3rd in the UK.  Alongside a standard version, you can also pre-order the game's Digital Deluxe Edition to receive not only the base game, but bonus in-game content, a digital art book, and a dynamic PS4 theme.
