The Horizon Zero Dawn new PS5 update fixes the performance issues through the Backward Compatibility and adds 60 frames per second.

Although the main focus of the Guerrilla Games is now on finishing up Horizon 2 Forbidden West, they also have not forgotten about the original entry of the series.

Today, the developer officially revealed the new release date for Horizon 2 Forbidden West, which has been set for February 18, 2022.

Along with this, the developer also announced a new update for Horizon Zero Dawn on PS5 that improves the overall performance of the game when playing it through backward compatibility.

The most notable change is the addition of 60 FPS support for the PS5 on backward compatibility, but the update also removes the Graphics Mode from the available options.

Horizon Zero Dawn is now available on PS4, but you can also play it on PS5 through the Backward Compatibility option.

Several months earlier, Sony started giving away Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for free for all PS4 owners as a part of the company's Play At Home plan. The Complete Edition includes a post-launch expansion which is The Frozen Wilds.
