Horizon Zero Dawn Actress Confirms Sequel is in the Works

We have finally received the first piece of information on Horizon Zero Dawn's sequel, but from an unlikely source.

Janina Gavankar, who was a part of The Frozen Wilds DLC in Horizon Zero Dawn, could have possibly shared the first piece of information regarding a sequel to the game.

Reported by IGN and a Reddit post from u/ninjyte, Janina spoke to an excited fan at Star Wars Celebration currently happening in Chicago. The fan thanked her for turning her onto Horizon and Gavankar replied with “Just wait until you see the sequel, you’re gonna die. I know some secrets, you’re gonna die.”

IGN did recognize that her character was only present during the DLC and not the main narrative. However, her character was left with a bit of an open narrative. IGN reached out to PlayStation for a comment but has not received any information back. Also, it is totally possible that she could be portraying another character in the sequel. But, I am sure we will find out whenever Guerilla officially unveils the game.

Now, this comes to no surprise. Someone telling me that Guerilla is working on a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn is like someone telling me that water is wet. The game sold over ten million copies just before its two year anniversary which is an incredible feat for a brand new IP from developers whose biggest franchise was Killzone. No disrespect too that series. It just doesn’t carry the same weight that their newest IP does. On top of that, the game was one of the best-reviewed titles in arguably the greatest year for video games ever.

Horizon Zero Dawn is currently available for PS4.
