Horizon: Zero Dawn Still Slated for 2016 on Flyer in Uncharted 4’s Box

on May 9, 2016 10:00 AM

Sony Interactive Entertainment has been quite silent about Horizon: Zero Dawn as of late, but today am interesting flyer emerged from the French box of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

The flyer, which you can see at the bottom of the post, still mentions a 2016 release window for the game.

This appears to conflict with a rumor emerged last month, alleging that the game will be delayed to 2017.

That said, we have to consider that Uncharted 4 went gold over a month before the rumor emerged. This means that it’s very possible that the copies with the flyer were printed before a possible decision to delay the game was taken, especially considering that promotional flyers are finalized way in advance.

Update: Industry insider Shinobi602 (who talked about the delay to begin with) mentioned on Twitter that the flyer is indeed “old.”

Considering the known solidity of the source of the delay rumor, I wouldn’t be too sure to see the game come in 2016. That said, we’ll have to wait and see. An official announcement one way or the other will possibly come at E3.
