Released earlier this year, Horizon: Zero Dawn became one of the year's most acclaimed titles, and PS4 owners looking to go on more adventures with Aloy will be able to do so in early November with the release of the game's new story expansion.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, developer Guerrilla Games has announced that "The Frozen Wilds," the first story expansion DLC for Horizon: Zero Dawn, will release for PS4 owners on November 7th, 2017.

While Guerrilla didn't share too many other details about what to expect from the DLC, the studio explained that players can expect "a new area to explore, new mysteries to uncover and new, highly letal machines to take on," as "The Frozen Wilds" will take Aloy into the icy territories of the north to discover in the "new chapter."

In addition to the release date announcement, Guerrilla also added that an exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn avatar will be available for those that pre-order the expansion, which will retail for $19.99 (or $14.99 for PlayStation Plus members).
