As the latest Fortnite live event comes to an end, players have once again been left unable to play as the servers go down on Saturday, June 4th. If you missed the Collision live event, the 'to be continued' message appearing on the home screen may have left you confused.

Although it's certainly bad news for fans that have jumped on to Fortnite and been met with the to be continued prompt, but thankfully it does mean that the beginning of a brand new season is right around the corner. Epic Games has confirmed the release of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 for this Sunday.

What Does To Be Continued Mean In Fortnite?

If you've attempted to log into Fortnite today and been met with the "to be continued" message, this is due to a recent live event. The 'Collision' live event took place on Saturday, June 4th and marked the end of Chapter 3 Season 2.

Fortnite has now entered an extended period of downtime before Chapter 3 Season 3 begins on Sunday, June 5th. In the meantime, there's nothing to do except wait. The "to be continued" message will only disappear once maintenance has been completed and Season 3 begins.

Yes, the Fortnite servers are officially down today. But it's not all bad news, once they are back up and running, a brand new season will be available to play, once you've downloaded the latest patch of course.

Players got to experience another epic live event, with the IO and the resistance battling it out for control of the island. If you took part in 'Collision', you will have had the opportunity to control the giant mech built by the resistance.
