We are officially in the third week of Season of the Haunted, which means there are new steps available to complete in the Destiny 2 Bound in Sorrow questline, which has already entered Phase 3.

If you have been following along with the Bound in Sorrow questline from the beginning of Destiny 2 Season 17, then you already know where we are right now.

During the first two weeks, we helped Crow to get rid of Nightmares. It first required us to grind some Vestiges of Dread and finish a number of Nightmare Containment tiers on Moon. After getting this done twice for two different Rituals, Crow was finally set free of Nightmares.

With Crow's story over, Guardians are now awaiting Eris's contact to continue the Bound in Sorrow questline. Hopefully, Eris is now available with a new adventure for us at the HELM. So, let's get started, Guardian!

Destiny 2 Bound in Sorrow Week 3 Quests

Step 15 - Return to Eris at the Crown of Sorrow in the HELM

So, simply head to HELM and visit Eris in Crown of Sorrow to get the details of your next mission in Bound in Sorrow.

Step 16 - Complete Tiers of Nightmare Containment and Create a Bound Presence

Similar to the previous steps, you need to go to Derelict Leviathan again and complete 3 tiers of Nightmare Containment. Also, at the end of Tier 3, you need to go next to the Harvester and create a Bind Vestiges of Dread, which needs at least 500 Vestiges of Dread.

So, if you don't already have enough Vestiges of Dread, make sure to gather some in either Nightmare Containment or other activities such as Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit.

Step 17 - Travel to the Underbelly of Leviathan with Zavala

Open your map, head to Moon, and start the Sever quest. Once the quest started, right at the entrance to a facility you will face an electrified platform. That's not the way to go! Turn back, and you will find a narrow route just in front of the first tree.

Kill a number of enemies and then continue your way until you reach a jammed door. Here, you should place an item. Do it and the door will open. Continue to the end of the hall where you will find an Egregore plant. Shoot at it to get affected and then head to the door in the middle of the corridor.

At the end of the new corridor, you will find a wrench, but you can't carry it back as the Egregore effect is gone. So you need to take another route. Check out the passage above the door to the electrified platform. There are a series of valves that will lead you back to the first corridor, where you can get the effect of Egregore again, open the door, and carry the wrench with you to the desired place. The images below will help you to find the passage. Make sure to use crouch when walking on top of the valves.

Use the wrench to disable electricity and continue the way to the marked location. Place the next amplifier and then enter the new hall where you will need to kill all enemies. After that, follow the marked locations, which will lead you upwards. Keep in mind that some of the platforms are tricky as they keep getting locked and unlocked. So, make sure to traverse fast in here.

At the top, you will meet Zavala. After that, you should continue the way and place the final amplifier. Now you will enter a maintenance-like area, at the end of which there is an Egregore plant. Shoot at it to get affected and now head back a little while looking down, once you spotted a blue hole, fall off.

Now you can begin the ritual, where you should defeat a boss in three phases. After defeating the boss, this step will be over.

Step 18 - Meet Zavala at the Tower

Head to the Tower and speak with Commander Zavala about what happened during the ritual.

Step 19 - Meet Eris in the HELM

Head to the HELM and get some information about Zavala's past.

Step 20 - Speak With Eris at Crown of Sorrow

You will get your rewards for this questline and this is the end of the line for Bound in Sorrow for now. Next Tuesday, more steps will be unlocked.

Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC. Keep in mind that you need to own the Season Pass to be able to access the seasonal quests.
