The Report Relic-Data quest in Destiny 2 The Witch Queen is confusing players as it requires a long grind in Throne World activities.

Destiny 2 The Witch Queen went live a few days earlier with a brand new campaign, a new location in the in-game universe, and a lot of items, weapons, and cosmetics.

Completing the campaign quests is the best way to level up in Destiny 2, but sometimes, the missions force you to heavily grind repetitive activities for random drops.

How to Complete Report Relic-Data in Destiny 2

First of all, you need to acquire the Report: Relic-Data quest from the Evidence Board in Throne World. The quest will ask you to craft three weapons using the Relic, but you need to find the patterns of those weapons first. The weapons are Red Herring, Likely Suspect, and Empirical Evidence.

These weapons are can be obtained as random drops from any activity in Throne World, but there is something very important that you should consider: You should get the Deepsight Resonance version of the weapons to earn the corresponding patterns! Getting the base versions of the aforementioned weapons will have no use. (Thanks, FrigidShark!)

The Deepsight Resonance version of a weapon features a secondary red border on its icon in the character menu.

As reported by a few players on Reddit, the drop chance for the Deepsight Resonance version of the asked weapons are pretty low. So, you might actually get the base version several times as random drops before getting the red-bordered version.

Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC. You can still play the very first mission of The Witch Queen for free, but for the rest of the quest, you will need to purchase the DLC.
