How to Complete the Unknown Signal Easter Egg in Cold War Outbreak

Switch the amplifiers and find the determined signals.

March 31, 2021

The latest update from Treyarch and Activision was supposed to bring new intel and easter eggs to the Zombies mode, and it seems players have already found one of them: the Unknown Signal Outbreak Cold War easter egg.

One of the most entertaining puzzles to solve in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies is to find various easter eggs and complete them to receive intel and rewards.

A new Outbreak easter egg has appeared recently in the game that requires players to adjust some radio amplifiers. Let’s see how we can solve it.

What is the Unknown Signal Outbreak Cold War Easter Egg?

The whole rule to complete the quest is simple. First, you need to find a radio device called Unknown signal in the map you are playing on. The spawn location for the device might be different for each player.

Once you find it, you will understand that you should find three radio amplifiers in different locations of the map and adjust all of them to receive the same signal that plays a certain noise. After adjusting each Radio Amplifier, you have to deal with a wave of zombies.

Once you finished adjusting all of the Radio Amplifiers, get back to the Unknown Signal device and listen to the broadcast to get your rewards (Thanks, DrBlurYT!).

Where to Find the Radio Amplifiers

The location for both Radio Amplifiers and Unknown Signal are random. This means each player might find it in a different place. However, the probable places to check are Base Cabins in Alpine, Granary in Golova, and Officer’s Quarter in Ruka.

The Amplifiers are near to the Unknown Signal device. So, you don’t need to go faraway from it to find the amplifiers.

What Are the Rewards?

  • Essence
  • Lullaby for a Deadman Intel

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
