What Can The Item Be Used For?

The new Spyglass item does exactly what you’d expect – it allows you to zoom in and focus on distant locations.

The item was initially revealed and called a Telescope, however, underwent a name change at some point before it was added to the game.

How to Craft a Spyglass in the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update.

To craft the Spyglass, players will need to use two of the game’s brand new blocks.

They are the Amethyst Block and the Copper Block.

Firstly, players will need two Copper Ingot. These can be achieved by grabbing blocks of Copper.

The block of Copper can then be smelted with any type of fuel in order to create a Copper Ingot, of which you’ll need two.

The other item, Amethyst, needs to only be the Amethyst Shard. These can be mined at an Amethyst Cluster around the map.

Once all items have been obtained, players can use them to craft the Spyglass.
