It's Valentine's Day and guess what? Fortnite has a new StoneHeart Trials event going on with some free rewards for those who earn a certain amount of badges.

Fortnite players can now earn Valentine's Day-special pickaxe for free by completing a simple challenge in the StoneHeart Trials event.

This is a brand new event that just went live for all players across the world, but you need to know the rules before being able to complete the challenge. Below, we have all the information you need to know to obtain the free rewards!

How to Earn Badges and Get Free Rewards in Fortnite StoneHeart Trials

First of all, you will need to log in through the dedicated StoneHeart Trials webpage to activate the challenge for your account inside the game. You can do it by visiting this link and clicking on the "Log In" button.

Once done, you should get back to the game and begin earning badges. In order to earn a badge, you should place among the top ten players in Fortnite solo Battle Royale in two different matches.

With your first badge, you will receive the Doomed Affair spray, with the sixth badge you get the Hearty Wrap, and with the eleventh and final badge, you will be granted the Thorns of Passion pickaxe.

In order to fully complete the trials, you will need to place among the top 10 in solo Battle Royale 22 times in 22 different matches. The matches don't need to be consecutive, by the way.

How to Get the StoneHeart Trials Bonus Reward

There is also a bonus reward for the new trials, which is Grim Devotion Emoticon. To earn this reward, you should scroll down at this page and vote for one of the featured Creative maps for the StoneHeart Night Tournament. Once done, you need to play on that map once to get your bonus reward!

Fortnite is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC. The iOS version is still out of reach.
