EA Sports has already started the public testing for the crossplay feature in FIFA 22. If you want to try out the feature, here is how to enable/disable crossplay in FIFA 22.

Recently, Electronic Arts announced that they would soon begin to test cross-play in FIFA 22, a feature that is assumed to be fully implemented in FIFA 23 when it launches.

Hopefully, the cross-play testing began earlier today, and it is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Stadia, which means the players from these platforms can play together or against each other right now.

Keep in mind that the crossplay is only available in Seasons and Friendly modes at the moment. It is unknown for now whether EA Sports will enable it for other modes such as Ultimate Team or not.

How to Enable/Disable Crossplay in FIFA 22

Once you download and install the latest update of the game, you will notice a new widget in the bottom left corner of the screen called Cross-Play. This widget has a specific key bound to it, which is R2 in PlayStation and RT in Xbox. Once you press the corresponding button, you will be able to enable or disable Cross-Play.

If you want to play against your friends on another console, both of you should enable Cross-Play before entering the matchmaking.

Currently, there is no information from the community on how well this feature works, but you can try it out and let us know here in the comment. Keep in mind that FIFA 22 does not support cross-generation-play, meaning PS5 or Xbox Series X|S players cannot play with/against PS4 and Xbox One users.

FIFA 22 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, and PC.
