The much anticipated release of Pokemon Legends Arceus is finally here and with it comes many Pokemon to catch and evolve to fill that Pokedex and one family of Pokemon that are included in the game are Magnemite, Magneton, and Magnezone.

There are some Pokemon that seemed to just be a one-off without an additional evolution, especially if they already had more than one.

Magnemite and Magneton were one of those that we didn't expect to get another evolution for, but that changed later when Magnezone was introduced.

Who is Magnezone?

Magnemite was originally introduced back during Pokemon Red and Blue as a pure Electric type Pokemon alongside its evolution Magneton. This changed during the debut of Pokemon Gold and Silver though where both of them were retroconned to be Electric/Steel types with the addition of the Steel type move.

This made the Pokemon much stronger by adding the Steel typing and ability to use Steel moves, but it wouldn't be for another two generations when it would get even stronger.

That leads us to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl and Gen IV when a number of the original 151 Pokemon received brand new evolutions, including Magneton.

This was the introduction of the new Electric/Steel type Magnezone, which made the Pokemon a lot more competitive overall and still is a very strong Pokemon today in many games.

How To Evolve Magneton into Magnezone

Magnezone are actually able to be caught in the wild in Pokemon Legends Arceus, but we are not going to take the easy way out. Instead, we are going to work to evolve Magneton into Magnezone.

To start, you're going to either need to get a Magneton or get a Magnemite and level it up first to evolve to Magneton.

Once you have a Magneton, you have two options to be able to evolve it to Magnezone. The first is to just use a Thunder Stone like in the past to evolve it, which will require you to find a Thunder Stone.

The other option is to wait until you get to the Coronet Highlands in the game. Once you are here, battle with your Magneton and level it up one time to trigger the evolution to Magnezone.
