With the yearly Pokemon GO Halloween event now upon us, players have the opportunity to capture and encounter a range of Pokemon that are brand new to the game.
The likes of Phantump and Trevenant and Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist will be making their spooky debuts alongside another Pokemon that debuted in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Galarian Slowking.
The Hexpert Pokemon joins Galarian Slowpoke and Galarian Slowbro which both debuted in Pokemon GO earlier this year.
Much like Galarian Slowbro, Galarian Slowking will have a special evolution method in the game - so, with that in mind, here's how to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowking in Pokemon GO.
How to Evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowking in Pokemon GO
The first step you'll need to complete is getting yourself 50 Slowpoke candies. This can be achieved by catching Slowpoke, transferring Slowpoke, trading Slowpoke and walking Slowpoke as your buddy.
Seeing as it's double Catch Candy during the Halloween event, provided you can find them (Galarian Slowpoke is in One-Star Raids during the first week of the event) and you use a Pinap Berry, you'll get 12 candies per capture.
Following this, you'll need to complete the "Adventure together to evolve" part. This first requires you to set the Galarian Slowpoke that you wish to evolve as your buddy.
Following that, once it's set as your buddy, you'll need to capture a total of 30 Psychic-type Pokemon. These don't have to be 30 unique Psychic-types, just 30 total.
There are a handful of Psychic-type Pokemon boosted throughout the Halloween event, including Drowzee, Gothita and Woobat, however, these are only boosted during week one. There aren't any boosted Psychic-types appearing in week two of the event.
Are Any Special Items Required?
Unlike the standard Slowpoke to Slowking evolution, Pokemon GO won't require players to use a King's Rock or any other evolution items and it will just be a case of completing the above steps.
